there is defintly the technology to build such machings. however i believe that once it is safely developed man will destroy the earth with it.
my brother wants to build a model useing the same "lost" technology as the philidelphia experment however by monitering the power levels and keeping them down, it should build a shield rather than a cloaking device (which what is what the government was trying for) i believe it is possible. we know very little about dark matter all we know about it, is that it is the very fabric of the universe. what if it could be harnessed? for good? for evil? what if we somehow create a "tear" in the very fabric that holds the universe together. what then? apocolyspe? i hope that his technology never gets developed because man will use it and destroy himself, and possible the entire universe

They were building an huge Tesla Coil, to what end, no one will ever know, but it's been postulated that the gov't was working on stealth tech in the way of a cloaking device, which even today stands to reason because the enormous amount of energy needed to bend light is more than any one place can muster.
