You cannot stop him from smoking weed if he does not see it as a problem.
Chances are the weed is calming him down, so maybe you do not want him to stop smoking weed. How about you just ask him to not smoke it in the son's presence?

He should help you get the passport for one, and about the weed smoking. My husband had smoked it before we got together. I had a 7 month old son at the time. Two years later we had our first child together. The whole time he had always smoked outdoors. He quit on his own free will in 04'. We got together in 93'. I stood strong ,as a mother naturally will and now my kids are b/w the ages of 11 and 15. My son (which is not his) has taken a yearly survey with MD Anderson on smoking. Started 2 yrs ago, and still hasn't tried it. He's the oldest. My daughter puts pictures of deteriorating lungs around the house(especially the bathroom). I don't smoke. They've never liked the smell anyways. You just have to hang in there and be strong. My daughters first visit out of the country was 2 yrs ago. She loved our family and wants to move there one day.

I understand unlike the other idiot that commented this. You need to tell him that he needs to grow up and act like a father. Tell him that he needs to set an example for his child and needs to be responsible. If he still doesn't stop, tell him that you don't want your child around him, and that if he doesn't straighten up, you'll have to take bigger steps to making sure your son gets what he needs out of parents, and if that means finding someone who can handle the stress in an adult way, then that's what you'll do. That should straighten him up. If not, he's not worth your tears. I'm not very religious, and I only pray when I really need too (I'm working on it), but I'll be sending up a prayer for you. God bless, and take care of that baby.

Why dont you apply for it first then leave him? Dont talk about leaving him though because he will flip. I think you can file a custody petition, im not sure. Anyways, find a room, sit down and talk to him about it, feel better!
God bless u :)

You probally cant get him to quit. But you can tell him the dangeres of it and that if he continues to smoke the weed it could kill him and your son. Try to get the mesage through him. I also have a grandma that smokes cigarettes I have tryed to get her to quit for years but oce they are addicted it is very hard to get them to quit.

You could anonymously turn in his dealer....though that could put you and your child in jeopardy if the dealer finds out.....You could leave brochures about rehab and the dangers of marijuana around the house..If he loves you then he will get the hint and it is a nonthreatening way of getting the point to him without direct confrontation which could get ugly......

buy a bootbrush made of horse hair... cut up the horse hair into small pieces and put it into the weed... it'll make him puke all over the place and he'll think he's getting sick from the weed.... or you can file for sole custody and a judge shouldn't have a problem if its drug abuse. But i've always wanted to do the horse hair trick to some1.
