sometimes shyness is just cute and attractive...but i'm an old cuss, and a grampa so what do i know...
to be yourself means to not put on a front of being something you are not, try to be out going, but don't try to be an artist, unless you are an artist; don't try to be an english major unless you really are an english major...if you are a musician, be that. if you are an artist, be that. sometimes making changes is very hard to do...especially when one is trying to stop being so shy...but you really can do it, just keep working at it a little at a time...small steps makes almost anything do-able.

You're not getting the point here
If you are this shy and reserved person
you must develop a "new you" that is the one that is more open and "confident" and "sociable" ---- not "become someone else"---if it is not YOU then it is FAKE and that will never last the test of friendship or life in general let alone the test of time---it will all fall apart on you and leave you wondering who you are to begin with !! So, YES, it IS the best advice----when you are yourself-- you are accepted by people on THAT level and it is true and because it IS true--- it will endure !!!

Always remain true to urself.Try to come out of ur shell, but do not force it,and pretend to be sth that ure not, because it will be fake.Learn to accept the things that cannot be changed, but try to change the things that u cannot stand.Be yourself, have more confidence, embrace the fact that shy people can be considered cute and attractive.Always be positive.Peace!

Challenging yourself to overcome your shyness is part of yourself.

You are a self-evaluating and growing person.

Don't confuse things by thinking you can't be EVERY part of who you are, even if some parts of you are more dominant than other parts.

Live well
