CD-RW's are writable disks.
The RW stands for Re-Writable.
The only difference between CD-r's and CD-RW's are that RW's can be erased and Re-Written.

First and foremost, do you have a rewritable cdrom drive. If you do it's pretty much a snap. You can click the second button over the cdrom drive and format it in windows xp. In Nero, you go to the menu and format it too. Many people make the mistake that because they have a cd writable drive that it can rewrite cds. The funniest thing is that cds are so cheap, you can just throw it away and get a new cd.

Even CDR and CD-RW are same, CD-RW is more flexible than CDR. In CDR you can write Once or Multiple Sessions. But You cannot erase the content. In CD-RW you can write Once or Multiple sessions. But you can erase the CD-RW like HardDisk, Floppy Disk.
Using Nero CD Writing tool You can Write Your datas into CD-RW. If you use Nero In CD you can erase CD-RW very easy like folder delete.

No way dude, that's why there's a label CD-Recordable and CR-Rewritable.
Don't get confused on the process of burning, in CD-R, you can still save and save more files until it's maximum capacity, but not erasing the content but adding only on it.
Unlike with CD-RW, you can erase it whenever you like.

CD-RW *IS* a writeable disc UNLESS you've "Finalized" the disc. Which means you can no longer wrtie to it.
