I work for a local radio morning show in Philadelphia. I was just wondering what bands one would consider to be "stoner bands"?
Myself for one, would have to admit i`ve toked many times while listening to the Nirvana and Blindmelon. Obviously i`m from the grunge era. Theres no need to mention Pink Floyd, trust me, i know. So list some for me guys and gals! It shall be amusing. Be sure to listen to Barskey in the Morning!

I knew it would mostly be answered by 15 years olds. Big Surprise. AIC was great, but no junky band.

The Beeeatles only started to make great music once they started experimenting with the funny stuff and becoming individual artists.

I was a teenager in the 70s. I don't know if you want to go that far back, but hell...we invented being stoned!

Black Sabbath (Sweet Leaf)
Hawkwind (Sonic Attack)
Alice Cooper (Ballad of Dwight Fry)
Ted Nugent (Stranglehold)
Savoy Brown (Train To Nowhere)
Alvin Lee and Ten Years After ('Morning Little Schoolgirl)
Humble Pie (Hot and Nasty)
Montrose (Rock Candy)
King Crimson (Court Of The Crimson King)

There's a few for you...enjoy!

The Smiths- This beautiful guy Soho Dolls- 1724 The Postal service- ( ANYSONG is stable ) such large heights, the district sleeps on my own this night. The Shins are relatively stable too.. different genres.. Born Of Osoris- BOW DOWN Any Emmure is superb. those songs are tight. and then there is obviously rap like Cypress Hill And Kottonmouth Kings..which i wish you do no longer hear to lol. Lil Wayne is tight however. And Yeah..thats all i will think of of ): sorry. yet yeah, surely inspect guaranteed to get caught.

Let's see how many people know who JJ Cale is and have heard the original version of cocaine that Eric Clapton made famous. How about the moody blues, or StepenWolf or Taj Mahal.
