Always front to back. In females the urethra is exposed and near to the anus, this is why urine infections are common in women and rare in men.

If you wipe back to front the risk of sweeping bowel organisms from around the anus, where they are normal and cause no problem, to the urethra is increased. This may increase the risk of both urine infections and vaginitis.

it is not easy, but the advice is to wipe from front to back. to stop germs from feaces going to the urethra. Therefore avoiding Urinary tract infections. That is the advice. Just use plently of loo roll and get them to do the best job they can. The wet wipe toilet stuff is good too

Front to back :)

I have issues with the other way as I don't want any bad bacteria and the like to get anywhere near my urethra, let alone my vagina.
