Well I am showing my age here, but so what...
I attended my 10, 20 and 30 year high school reunion...
They were all fun, except for finding out each time who in your class had passed away over the years...
I found out about one of my friends and went to the cemetery to leave flowers on his grave...
He would be the same age as me if he were alive...
It saddened me about that...

However the parties and dances were fun and drinking and the food and music and laughing and looking at old school pictures and seeing how people had changed or stayed the same or married the most or had the most kids...
I had a good time each time..
I recommend it to anyone...

I went to my 5 and my 15 year reunion. I didn't fit in in high school and I didn't fit in at the reunion. My best friend and I snuck booze in (no alcohol in the county), had a party at the hotel room for the people we did like in high school. I'm not sure they would have let us in to the 20 year reunion! Once my mom moves out of that town, there will be no reason for me to ever go back. I won't miss it.

I would not attend a high school reunion because I never had alot of friends then and now they would be just too jealous now that I am successful. I have never run into a single class mate from highschool.

My 10 year class reunion is this year....but I will not be attending. As far as I'm conserned, I DO see those from my class that I want to see. As for the others, I'd rather not! LOL Unfortunately so many from my class have not grown up at all, I've got better things to do with my time (and my own family) that spend time with them.

Here's the trick, they usually meet a bar the night before.
That is totally informal and you can leave. Put out a few feelers if you decide to go.

I went to my tenth (met at the bar the night before) and felt pretty good about how I was doing. How ever I have missed all others. I have stayed in contact with the people I wanted to stay in contact with.

I'll probably will never go back again....It is just a reminder of old we have all become, and there isn't anyone I really want to see......

Went to one and it was kind of strange, some of my classmates had changed so much and was barely recognizable. We had 3 or 4 ministers from the class, another guy got into a career with plastics and was very wealthy, the 'prissy' girl was the way she was in high school, one guy was drinking too much, one lady doctor, etc. A mix of people!

I have one coming up at the end of next year, but will not go. I hated school while I attended and prefer to keep everyone in my past exactly where I left them - in the past.
