This was one of the theme songs to "City of Angels" with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage from the late 90's. Great movie, I cry every time!!!! In case you haven't seen it, Nick is an angel who falls in love with Meg who plays a heart surgeon, so he decides to "become human" ... rent it, grab some popcorn and a few best friends, and enjoy!!

bue77 is right. It wasn't the theme song from the movie "City of Angels". It was just on the soundtrack. The theme from the movie is "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls.
