In reply to weafs (sp?) I ask this question because I find different viewpoints fascinating. I'm actually a mix of the two, I like to figure things out for myself but I'm not above asking for help. But definitely I am NOT a wilted flower waiting for a gallant knight to rescue me. Ew.

I honestly want a mixture of both. Someone who is strong and independent yet someone who I nap on the couch with. My girlfriend is just that. She could handle anything life tosses at her with ease on her own but is such a sweetheart you just want to protect her.

I think here I've to go with *Park Ranger's response - a MIXTURE of both. Someone who is strong willed, independent and knows her mind and yet quite feminine and lady like - someone who could remind me of the grace and dignity of my mother and grand mother which is a bit rare to find these days. As a guy I usually don't prefer women who are brass,loud and overt. I would always go for someone who is more feminie and lady like.
