i want to read people the astrology/horoscopes, where do I go to get a job like that, do I have to get a degree or something like that? Where should i be directed to?

Study Intensely. Understand everything you can. Learn how to erect charts manually. It will help you understand the process.
Learn transits, essential to horoscope readings and the reason people seek out Astrologers.
Horary Astrology is another valuable service.
Find a mentor.
Try doing the horoscope talk lines. You will hone your art being able to read quickly using your Ephemeris. They will interview you by asking you to do a reading on the phone.
Promote yourself to coffee shops and metaphysical stores that offer physic readings. Offer to do readings in their place of business. Most stores will post your business card or flyer.
Keyword is networking.
Offer an introductory free basic reading to anyone interested. Don’t offer too much or you will reduce the value of your service.
It is a self-made business. Word of mouth and the right kind of marketing is essential.
You can get a certificate from the AFA (American Federation of Astrologers). It is not essential but it will give you an idea as to how competent is your knowledge.
There are books specifically on how to start an Astrology business.

A good start is the AFA (American Federation of Astrologers). They offer courses , testing, and certification and can give links to other sources. Rosicrucians is also another good place (spiritual astrology). There are many links on line, but you wanna stay away from the self-proclaimed great astrologers with nothing to back up what they say. Also, there are different branches of astrology - are you looking to specialize in one? And there are different kinds/systems, if you will. You need to have a firm grasp of the basics though. If you understand the basics, you'll never need to buy a book after that. I would recommend reading any book you can get your hands on by Ivy G. Jacobsen or Sophia Mason (both deceased) to give you a good understanding of the basics and then some. And also know that the greatest astrologers are not just knowledgeable in that they have been taught, but they are intuitive. They can look at a chart and feel.

You want to become an astrologer, first you must read lots of astrological book
and learn more about psychic or fortune teller etc.
