What is the best way to start making new friends in Los Angeles for a 25 y/o male?

A City of well over 9 million people. Busy people everywhere you go rushing rushing rushing. No time to stop. No time to talk. Most people out here have their lives so busy and with little time on their hands that they are not reaching out to make new aquaintances. Hell, strangers don't really talk out here. There's lots of fear and Paranoia. And everyone is all isolated behind doors and inside their metal, glass, and rubber cages. (SUV's)

How do I make any friends out here. I feel like I'm so lonely in such a big busy crowd of people.

There are many great ways to meet new friends here in LA. I agree it can be kind of frustrating to make friends, especially if you are more of an introverted person such as myself. When I came here I was 27, now I am 30. At first I was limited to friends from work, but with many married with children, going out Saturday to party was very rare, I chose to find new hobbies, and get involved with those, and new friends/acquantances came naturally. For me I chose to learn how to golf, and am meeting new people on the course all the time. Basically, what I am saying is find something you really like to do, or want to do, and get involved with that, the chances are there are dozens if not more people involved with the same things you like, especially here in LA, and you will meet friends! Good luck.
