do you talk to them or not? I usually try to start up a friendly conversation but sometimes the other person doesn't seem as eager to chat...thoughts?

maybe not maybe yes, it all depends on circumstances, start off with a hi and a smile, if the person returns u a greeting, yup, maybe a conversation will spark, else if the person didn't sort of respond in a very friendly manner, u know u shouldn't bother to kick start a conversation.

I try to talk to them. If they arent interested, oh well, at least I tried. But usually I manage to get a conversation started.

It really depends, sometime I am in the mood to read, listen to music or just relax and I do not want to talk. I try not to appear rude but sometime I enjoy the moments of peace.

I am never in that position (I always fly with Fam/Friends), But maybe, I usually zone out anyway with my Ipod or magazine.
