I was asking the question, what is your favorite menu item in another country.....other than the United States....not IN the U.S. I already know what most people's fav is...so the question..AGAIN..in ANOTHER country what would be a favorite menu item of yours IF you ate from the other country...or IF you live in another country.

Ok, guess I would have to say just about anything in France. It's the way they cook, so much better than the US. Some of the foods are things that you might find on menus here, but the food is not really the same:
Bouillabaisse-sort of fish stew, but made with
fish you can't get in US
Pressed Duck - you can only get it at one
restaurant in Paris --Tour D'Argent, and you
get a card with the number of your duck on it,
as they keep track of all the ducks served since they opened, quite a long time ago

The country: France
The menu item: I do not know what it is called, but I watched it being prepared. Shrimp and gravy and some other stuff are prepared separately. Portions of these ingredients are placed in glass jars, a couple of uncooked eggs are placed on top of each portion in each jar, and the jars are placed in a pot of water that is then boiled until the eggs are done.
Sounds wonderful!!!

In Mexico its Tacos y Carnitas and here in Thailand its Pad ga pow moo...which is a mixture of pork with chilis, garlic and Thai basil served over rice.

In Denmark my favorite menu item was roast pork.

I'v e been to Italy. My favorite dish is a pasta dish called bucatini alla amatriciana. Bucatini is a type of pasta and amatriciana is a province which specializes in this dish.
