I recently had 1GB of ram installed and just installed another 2GB, hopefully this will help my games run a little bit faster, should I see a big difference?

Yes, having 3 GB of RAM will help you when you play games in fullscreen and games with a lot of space needed, like World of Warcraft. Also you should have a good graphics card and video card in your PC to make the experience even better. It is also a good idea to have a large hardrive and maybe even purchase an external one if you need the space. But yes, that is more than enough RAM for a computer.

3 GB is actually a little much. I would stay with 2 GB of Ram. Thats what I got and it runs perfect. Having 3 GB can actually hurt your speed b/c it has to much to search through. You have to find a healthy medium. Go with 2 GB, it has worked best for me and a lot of other gamers. BTW, you should see a difference but not to the extent that would make you lose your mind. =P

From 1 > 3 yes.
From 2 > 3 no.
2 GB of RAM is really all you need to run current/next-gen games.
3GB is just excess.

The RAM on your graphics card has more influence. Doubling the RAM,only gives you 1.5 times as much speed as you had before.
