He already is a hall of famer. Peyton, he will because they won the Super Bowl

Harrison is already one of the best wide receivers of all time. In fact, the only receiver who right now is clearly better in terms of all-time stats is Jerry Rice. There's talk in this discussion of Harrison having 5 good years remaining in him, and if that proves to be true, there's a good chance that Harrison and Rice will be 1 and 1A on the list of greatest wide receivers to ever play in the NFL.

As for Peyton Manning, he was already one of the best quarterbacks of all time, even before winning the most recent Super Bowl. Without that championship, the discussion about Manning would be whether or not he would overtake Dan Marino as the greatest player to never win the Super Bowl. Now there's nothing keeping Manning out of Canton when he decides to retire (not that the lack of a Super Bowl championship would've kept him out, since Marino's already in the Hall).

To make a long answer short (too late, I know), both questions can only truthfully be answered with "yes".

No.......He is not in the same class as Rice, Largent, or Carter. Honestly he is not even better than Chad Johnson. On every level Chad is a better receiver than Harrison. Simply put everything Harrison does Chad does better. I say this because Marvin catches a lot of wide open 40 yard catches that can really be attributed to Mannings skill at making the defense shift creating holes. On that note Manning will probably go down with Brady and Montana as the three best QB's ever besides that other Colt from so long ago............

Peyton was going to the Hall of Fame regardless of a SuperBowl. He'll probly end up breaking most passing records by the time he hangs the jersey up. Marvin is a great receiver no doubt. Only time will tell where they lie in the wake of greatness but at the moment they are the best duo in the NFL. Hell that whole receiver core is ridiculous when Stokley is healthy.

Marvin Harrison is, always has been, and always will be remembered as a sure-handed WR. He's a BEAST and always has been. He definatly is in the top 5 greatest ever. Manning would have received the HOF with our without the ring, the ring just signifies he's now the greatest ever. And I'm saying statistics.. He already owns most the records, he has at least 5 more GOOD years in him, in which he will break the rest and own them. For now and for a while, he is the greatest ever, i'm anxious to see who's going to take his spot in 20-30 years.

Reread the question guys. He said ONE of the best wide receivers of all time. There is no question that he is ALREADY one of the best wide receivers of all time-- just look at his numbers, and watch him play. People just don't notice this because he smartly doesn't like to draw too much attention to himself, since he's a focused student of the game. As to the second part of the question, Harrison and Manning have already broken a lot of QB-WR-tandem records and only stand to break more as their careers wind down. So the answer is a certain yes.

He will definitley be considered "one of the best" but probably not the best. He doesn't pick up yards after the catch, which has helped his longevity, but Rice picked up the YAC and played for a long time. Marvin has some of the best catches I've ever seen, and is definitely the best, most consistent, most precise route runner I've ever seen. He is also a hard worker. He and Peyton are probably the greatest tandem just because of the longevity of the two combined. Rice had two great QBs throwing to him, but which would you place higher, Montana or Young, in combination with Rice? Manning and Harrison both have several years left in them, and they will most likely be years together. In addition, Marvin has to split his catches with Reggie Wayne and several others who are great receivers as well.

Recently Michael Irvin was voted into the Hall of Fame. Yet, it took him until his 3rd year of eligibility to do so. Where as the quaterback he played with Troy Aikman had made it in on his first year of eligibility.

One of the best ever? Yes. But is a guaranteed Hall of Famer? Not yet. Irvin won 3 Super Bowls. Look at Art Monk he's still waiting to get in.

But Manning and Harrison will always be considered parts of a whole. No matter who they finish their carreers with. People will always think of the two together.

He already is if he quit tonight. 4th all time with 1022 receptions and can become #2 with 79 this season. # 6 for yards and with 1300 yds this season moves up to # 2. # 3 in receiving TDs and moves to #2 with 8 more. He will never be the best...Jerry Rice has that spot taken. But he will be the second best of all time.

First of all, they gotta win 2 or 3 more Super Bowls just like Jerry Rice did....till then, Harrison is a good receiver, not great, just good...just take the fact that the Colts won Super Bowl 41 thanks to a Patriot player, that being RACHEED CALDWELL who dropped 2 crucial passes. The first one being dropped in the end zone, and the last one in the last minutes of the Championship game. So Colts gotta thank him...

He will based on his stats. Honestly, and I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this, I think he's a very good WR. I DON'T think he's a great one. I think he's a Peyton Manning product. Manning leads his Wr's so well, and throws with such accuracy, that a good route runner like Harrison looks like a great WR. He is a good route runner, but I just don't think he's a great WR on most other teams.
