I don't think they are unintelligent but they make beauty seem like it is the most important thing a person should strive for in life. Young girls fall prey to the standards set by the beauty industry. Sadly they are giving other people a shallow mindset and very few people in the industry could be referred to as intellectuals. While I say they are not unintelligent, they do not exercise their minds to their fullest potential.

Shallow or unintelligent? No. I think we should all be glad that we have people who can make us look and feel better about ourselves. If I couldn't go to a beauty salon and get pampered and foo fooed over that would really be the pits. And if we didn't have people who knew their stuff as far as cosmetics go we would all be in trouble too! Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for 5 yrs. now!

no i dont think that.. i might only be 15 and what not and dont have a career in cosmetology but i am involved in it at school and its not as easy as it may look.. there are so many things that you have to know..
