Thats the best way to sum up both sides.
Democrats want to stop presidents current plan.
Presidents current plan is to surge more troops. Do republicans have a dimplomatic solution?

Thank you very much for proving my point everyone. Each sides answers pretty much says it all.
Republican defenders dont understand what diplomacy is.
Its not about talking to terrorists..its about striving for stability in the region.
Its about creating a policy that will contain the enemy, so its easier to flush them out.
Its about putting pressure on the leader we are gambling with -- who has failed to show motivation to square his country away. Bush continuallly gambles with the Iraqi president as if we are hoping he will change, after he hasnt for 5 years.
Yet this is how we support our troops..by gambling with their lives?
Dimplomacy gathers people, gathers countries, it works to preserve life.
And its the only way you can deal with those that mean to do you harm
But then I wouldnt expect republicans to understand that.
Which I find funny, because arent republicans the ones that attend yale and harvard and all those well to do schools?
what do they teach?
