some news such as new product launch.. large orders.. some govt support.. economic conditions.. managemnt chages
other thn that its not just news that make it possible

No single "news" item. Proper research is the only answer for me. Then I check the charts for the best entry point.

Earnings. I choose stocks that I think are undervalued right before they release earnings.
