I'll not only answer, I'll answer like Joe Namath:
He's not a quality, classy player.
He's not a passer, he's a runner.
His feet are ahead of his arm.
I wanna kiss you.
I couldn't care less about Vick's struggling.

I don't think that people hate him, it's just that we are sick of hearing about how great of an athlete he is, how exiciting he is, and then he doesn't produce consistently. He has all the physical tools, maybe the best athlete in the NFL, but he is not, nor will he ever be, a great quarterback. He's been around 6 years now, that's a lot of time, usually it takes a quarterback two or three years to reach his potential. Vick will have a 20-28, 285 game with 3 tds, then will have three games when he's 8-17, 125, 0 tds, and 2 ints. You never know what to expect. And he cannot throw the ball with accuracy, he misses some easy throws. There's a reason why the Falcons' receivers have some poor stats, Vick can't always get them the ball. If Algie Crumpler was with Brady, Favre, Brees, Palmer, or even an average QB, he would have 100 catches a year.
The Falcons THOUGHT they knew what they were doing, but it is clear Vick is a disappointment. I think Atlanta would love nothing better than to dump Vick and make Matt Schaub the starter. So, Vick is exciting, so what? How many "W's" does it translate into? He's overrated, overhyped, overpaid, and should be over in Atlanta.

He has a good arm, but he has yet to show the same arm that he did at VA Tech. I saw him complete some passes, including ones against my Miami Hurricanes, that looks amazing. Now he is an average passer at best.
He does have little to throw to in Atlanta, but he does have better than some (See Jacksonville Jaguars). He could also use a little stability in the coaching staff, but that has already been blown out of the water with the firing of Jim Mora Jr. Look for Vick to struggle more as a new coach, and most likely offensive coordinator, come into Falcons camp with a new offense to learn. He is a great quarterback, but the only first ballot he'll receive is the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. If it took a man like Michael Irvin (One of the best wide receivers ever) three tries, it'll take Vick more than one at least.

Mike Vick is probably one of the best athletes in the NFL, but I personally wouldn't wan't him to start for my team (if I were an NFL Head coach). Weather it has been trying to continually learn a new system, or what I don't know. What I do know is the guy has been in the league now for 6 years and has proven absolutely nothing other than he has great potential, sorry buddy but championships and hall of fame inductions aren't won on potential alone. Matt Shaub gives ATL a better chance to win a championship than Vick, why... because he is a true passer and QB not a human highlight reel.

He will be first Ballot, right after I am put in the Hall of Fame. Since I don't play I better hurry up and put togther a pro-career so I can retire before him. He is accurate? WHAT? Are you drunk? He CAN be accurate. If he would FOCUS ON PASSING he WOULD be accurate. Oh and how could he have had such great games as a pocket passer if he didn't have talent? He HAS recievers. He doesn't have the VISION that a QB needs. That is why he RUNS FIRST. Calling him overrated is being HONEST, not hating him. He would be a great QB in college football. That doesn't mean that he can play great in the Pros. He didn't evolve. He still runs first. He hasn't developed the discipline to be a passer. As to his great arm, of course he has a great arm he never uses it to wear it down. Vick will NEVER be as good as Randell Cunningham, who still isn't in the Hall of Fame. If Cunningham doesn't go in then don't expect to see Vick make it.

Michael Vick is obviously a very physically talented player. He has a rocket arm, and is extremely mobile.
However, his accuracy throwing the ball is nearly horrid. Mentally, he constantly makes bad reads, he runs once his 1st and 2nd option are taken away, and he has yet to learn when to put touch on the ball. Everyone knows he has a strong arm, but he needs to be able to put the ball in the right spot for a receiver, and he has to be able to throw them a catchable ball. He can obviously make a play with his legs, but he needs to know when to do so. When he scrambles, he'll either make a big play, or he'll take a big sack. When he's about to take that big sack, he needs to be smarter and throw the ball away.
He needs to have a better pass first mentality. He needs to trust his check downs. If a defense takes his first two options away, he'll run. He needs to hit his 3rd and 4th option before running.

Lets analyze your "qualities" you say Vick posesses. A cannon is no good if you don't hit your target. 20 tds in 16 games? when 8 came in 2 that leaves 12 tds in the other 14. He is not even close to Hall of Fame. Wins games all by himself? He loses games all by himself! Peerless Price has over 1250 yds and 9tds as Buffalo's #2 then joins Vick and drops to 850 yds and 3 tds. Its not that he has noone to throw to, he doesn't throw it to them. Look what Brees does in NO. Colsten? Henderson? Copper? Don't say Horn...he was hurt most of the year. Those are nobodies...4400 yds and 26 tds. Vick has talent...that can't be denied. But not QB talent. He is ultra fast, shifty as hell, and escapes like Houdini...but he throws like Ryan Leaf.

Hate is a rather strong term for any man to use about another man. I thought Michael Vick was a phenominal college player and enjoyed watching him in the national title game. But, his style of play does not compliment the game on the pro level. Success in the pros depends on a great defense, a good ground game and lightning quick pass routs. I believe Vick is too reckless with his running and tries to run too much. His style of play(a running quarterback) has been just about quashed with the size and speed of corners and secondary. I don't hate the guy, I just don't think his style of play is one that keeps defenses off balance. Randall Cunningham was a great running quarterback but look how short of a time he was effective in the pros.

He will definetly NOT BE A FIRST BALLOT. He probably will not make the Hall of Fame until he performes better in the playoffs. A hall of fame quarterback should be able to lead his team in the playoffs twice and has a 71.2 QB RTG. So a first ballot, learn the sport of football

as a player he's great. he can throw lasers, , not very accurate but accurate enough that least still goes to the recivers, but the recivers can't catch, so it is not his fault, i'd run all the time too if my reciver can't catch. as a QB he not perfect, but which QB is? all QBs have strengths and weaknesses, and people like to focus on his weaknesses
i hate him as a person however. previous season i thought he was a pretty good QB, but this season and his version of the "dirty bird" to his own fans really made me hate the guy. also the water bottle incident. if there is nothing in there, why not cooperate? and why do you have a secret compartment in you bottle of water in the first place??

Ask Ron Mexico.
Seriously, he came into the league as the savior having no established cred, other than on awesome year in college. He was never given the chance to develop slowly. The NFL made him the poster child too soon and he will NEVER live up to the hype. Few ever do.
