When a stock is about to do really well, there is a frenzy to buy that stock. Is there a place where I can monitor buy rates for stocks?

With Trade King I use streaming quotes and I use the TQ historical and it shows every trade buy or sell how many shares and what time.

u can if have a online screen terminal.. just clicking on the volumes column in the first row it will showw

you can subscribe to Hotscans website....they do this.
i'm not in it.....i think it's better to buy a quality program like Metastock and set it to do what you want.......or buy the right plug-in for it
