Like religion it's about faith. Either you have faith or you don't. You can have faith in both religion and astrology if you want.
Edit
Sorry Milly but the House cusps are a few degrees wrong. For instance I have Jupiter on the Ascendant in the Twelfth, but this program tells me I have Jupiter on the Ascendant in the First. I tried adding and then losing an hour and didn't get the right cusps on this program for time of birth.
Planets in signs were OK but when they got to Houses many were in the wrong House. By a matter of degrees. Can't have that.

Well I could have gave you some information on you if you put your birth date

However you can give it a go, how about your birth chart

A birth chart, also called natal chart, shows the positions of the stars at your time of birth in the place you were born in. Use our free birth chart system to calculate your personal natal chart and get an explanation what this means (or could mean) for you. For best accuracy, you need to enter the date of birth (DOB), time of birth (TOB) and place of birth (POB). The system will then calculate your daisy wheel graphic, your aspects graphic and also give you a full interpretation of your personality.

Click on the link below scroll to the bottom of the page then fill in the information : )

There are no logical modern reasons. The historical reason goes back to the ancients that observed that some of the stars wandered around (planets) and that as these moved the seasons changed.

The reasoning was that if the movement of the stars caused the seasons to change then, they had great power, and surely could control our destiny.

We have since learned that the seasons don't change because the stars move.
