Well its sweet that your husband is be cautious & is concerned for the baby.Maybe you can take him with you on one of your doc. appointments & the doctor can explain to him that it cannot hurt the baby,it is safe.A lot of people do say that it puts the baby to sleep unless there are some pregnancy problems let him know its okay

I am a husband and father of 1 (soon to be 2). I gotta say I felt the same way the first pregnancy at first. I was always worried at first that it would cause a miscarraige and later on I was worried it would hurt the baby. It's just needless worry. Unless you're high risk (and even then I'm not sure) sex won't hurt the pregnancy.
Plus, when you are close to your due date (or over) semen possesses an enzyme that can start labor. It does the same thing as when the doctor induces labor.
Just tell your husband that it's normal to be scared. I sure as hell was, but everything turned out perfectly. And although I was scared, we had plenty of fun *wink wink nudge nudge*. Nothing bad ever happened to the baby. (heck he grew like you wouldn't believe)

Take him to your next doctor appointment. Let him know ahead of time that he can ask any questions that he feels the need to. If he isn't comfortable asking the doctor about your sex life, ask him or her yourself! My husband goes with me to each of my OB appointments and the doctor always asks him if he has any questions. It perfectly fine for your husband to ask the doctor whether sex at this point of your pregnancy or any other questions he has.
If you can get your husband to go to the doctor with you, also bring up sex throughout pregnancy, not just at the end. That way, if you get pregnant again, your husband will already have the all clear from the doctor!

OMG, drag his a** to the bedroom. Especially during the last few weeks. There is something in semen that helps soften your cervix. My husband didn't want to have sex with me either, but I made him...every day. I'm not kidding. At 37 weeks, I was 2 cm dilated. I delivered over a week early with both of my boys. I swear that sex was the reason why.

My wife and I just had our first baby 3 weeks ago. During the first month of pregnancy while we were still in the dark, she had bloody mucous discharge the next day after we had sex. After seeing her GYN, we were ordered to avoid sex - so we didn't have sex for over 9 months! One can have sex, but if you're in the high risk group, or you want to be 100% safe from miscarriage, you should avoid intercourse.

lol! it's fine to have sex even until your bladder breaks! people say that even having sex or just walking alot right before you have the baby is actually good for you and the baby! It may be nerve wrecking to think that sex may hurt the baby but it's not like how people think like the baby is going to be poked every time that . . . well I hope that you know where I'm going with this lol! anyway it will be just fine to have sex or make love or do it while your late in your pregnancy! have fun while you can!

sex during pregnancy will not do anything to your baby...it may be a little different but now is a good time for you two to find other positions, experiment a little...you can keep having sex up untill your water breaks or you go into labor, in fact if you are close to your due date it can help bring labor on...just use this time to try different positions and have some fun!!!

sex will do no harm to the baby and contrast to popular belief, the baby will not grab your husbands junk. try seducing him and getting all dolled up for him. when you're close to your due date, sex can put you into a good labor pattren faster. it didn't work for me cuz i had stubborn babies, so i had c-sections. congrats and good luck! and if you're a 1st time mom, your bladder doesn't break. the "water" is the amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby inside you. they call it your "water" because it's usually clear and it can either gush out or trickle out, either way is perfectly fine and when the break happens , it means that your baby is ready to be born.

explain to him that the baby is protected by a water sack which is there because you move around all day
standing up sitting down climbing stairs walking around
it will do no harm to the baby
and it's true if you're late it can (and will) induce labor
also (here's the good part) you can't get pregnant while your pregnant

There are no risks to the baby. Just do it if you feel up to it. If you're not into it though, than your man will have to back off for a while
good luck with the birth etc
