I won an item on Ebay 2 weeks ago. I paid for the item right away. It has now been 2 weeks and I still have not received my purchase. When I contacted the seller, she stated that there was a mix up at the wharehouse and she is still waiting for her sales rep. to get back to her. Is this normal for EBAY sellers to auction items off that they do not even have in hand? I have since found a similiar item that I can receive with 2days. Is it too soon to ask for a refund? Can i ask for a refund? Any suggestions will help...Thanks

It depends largely on the seller. If the seller won't ship the item, then your only recourse is to leave negative feedback. But be careful, because the seller will likely leave negative feedback for you in revenge.

Try to get the seller to annul the transaction (hey, it works for some marriages), and to refund your money. If that doesn't work, then feedback is your only recourse.

Good luck on this. I recently went through it, with positive results. I wish the same for you.

How did you pay for the item? If it was through PayPal then I believe that you can make an item not received claim within ten days of winning the auction.
If you haven't already done so, try also posting this question on the community question & answers forums on eBay. I've done this in the past and there are some very helpful members who respond quite quickly with their answers.
Good luck

Read the auction--does the seller offer refunds? Since it wasn't your fault she should work with you. That is if she is a reputable eBay seller. Contact paypal if she seems to be stringing you along.

contact eBay because my friend purchased a body kit and the guy kept saying to marrow... then after 30 days she contacted eBay and they said there was nothing they could do because it was passed the 30 mark. so hurry up and call better safe then sorry.

keep communicating but if she is scamming, contact the bank you used to transfer the money. my bank got my money within a week after i filed a fraud report. if you sent a money order then good luck working that out!
