i have no money to buy online protection help!!?

what are some programs i must have and can download for my pc's protection
all i kno is bout a firewall

You will need a virus scanner for sure and it is a good idea to have a spyware scanner. AVG is a really good, free virus scanner. Ad-Aware is a good free spyware scanner.

You can use Windows firewall and it does a pretty decent job ( I use it but mostly because I have a router that has a built-in firewall). ZoneAlarm also has a free version.

They are all free, and come with no spyware. They are top knotch, and just as good as stuff you would pay for. I can guarantee it!

Spybot Search & Destroy
This program detects all the malware on your computer.

Kerio Personal Firewall
One of the best firewalls out there! Download it, and delete your other firewall. Only use one, or they will conflict with each other.

AVG Anti-Virus
TOP knotch program. Once you download it, update it! Again, only use this anti-virus. If you have 2 anti-viruses, they will conflict with eachother.

. This is all you need. You can download Ad-Aware SE personal as another malware tool, but you don't absoloutely have to.

. All these programs are free. At download.com, you can look when you click on a program, and it will say Free.

. This will keep your computer just as protected as it would for a computer genius!
