nope. I was taught not to play on the tracks. But my uncle used to have a jar full of coins that he found on the tracks that had been run over. Pretty cool looking some of them. But I never put them in a machine. Wouldn't have anyway. That's kind of stealing. sorry.

Did that with my brother way back in the 50's when we use to walk along the tracks with buckets to pick up all the coal that fell off the freight cars so we could heat our house in the winter. Kids today just don't know how good they have it....

Yes. I still have a couple flattened pennies and a nickle. I used to have a flatened spoon too. Never tried to spend them.

that wouldnt work, or at least not now, cuz the machines test for weight shape and even the materials the coin is made of, thats why foriegn coin wont work in them

Nope, but it WAS fun to see if Mr. D'Amelio would take one at the candy store. Often, but not always, he would. I think it usually depended on whether or not he really liked you.
