The mobile companies started this New year 2007 a fradulent pracitice, to charge for sms!! They said 100 sms free/day, in their advertisements and all. But easily voilating the rule, as to, on National and International festival days they will charge for all sms itseems. EVEN FOR THE VALENTINES DAY they started collecting 25np 50 np one rupee/sms, starting from the first sms itself!! ( If they are really good people, they should have charged after the 100th sms only)
So, here after, one day or the other day. it is just going to be this-day and that-day special, they will extrct money in crores from the mobile users!!
BUT THE STRANGE POLICY IS, ANY GOODS/ SERVICE ORGANISATIONS GIVE REDUCTIONS OR EXTRA BONUS FOR ITS CUSTOMERS, BUT NOT THE MOBILE COMPANIES!!
My question is, what the 'troy" is doing, and the consumer forums, judiciary and legislative authorities in these like voilations?
As a consumer, what we have to do?

you are right they make millions out of your SMS... send SMS as and when you need for your own requirement for interaction and saving on calls...

Yes, it is justified. After all, did we not pay to purchase and post greeting cards, in the days SMS was not available? It will also help in preventing the network being inundated with SMSs, from all to all and sundry.
