You don't have to wear thong underwear to be popular. There are a lot of panty styles that are sexy, without them being "granny panties", as you call them. A pretty lace bikini panty would be more sexy than a thong, because a thong shows almost everything, where a pretty bikini style doesn't. If your "guy" loves you, it is not from what kind of underwear you are wearing, it is because he really likes you, no matter what you're wearing.

Hey, don't dismay, look, first of all, just because everyone at school is doing this or that, does not mean that you need to follow in their footsteps. There are panties out there that are super sexy. Dating is not about what kind of panties you wear. If the guy likes you, it will be for who you are. He will like you, and not your panties. Your question doesn't say how old you are but I notice it doesn't say , "If I get somewhere with the guy I love" it just says "a guy" . It depends on how old you are, GRANNY panties are very comfortable and practical, if not try some hi-cut or bikini panties. Thongs are not all there cracked up to be.

Suggestion: Boyshorts, they are more youthful than bikini-style panties and they don't have a pantyline. However, they aren't quite as sexy as thongs are.
