Of course, NO. But there are no such candidates in either party, only some ultra-partisan Republicans accusing Democrats of saying that (most Democrats have chosen not to respond with the same cowardly vitriolic rhetoric).
If you know anything about war, you know that strategic redeployment is a common and standard tactic used in any war and by the best Generals (and Commanders in Chief).
It is not "cutting and running" or "backing down from a challenge" to reposition one's troops. Any General would be stupid to leave his soldiers to die needlessly in the face of the enemy rather than redeploy them to a more strategic position.
Of course almost every Republican who accuses Democrats of being for "cutting and running" or backing down from a challenge have NEVER served in combat, including our President and Vice President. And I'll bet fifty bucks that's true of the person who asked this question as well.
The same is true of 99% of people here on Yahoo Answers who spout their war-mongering philosophy of "Yeah, let's go kill 'em and to hell with diplomacy," while they sit in their comfortable homes in absolutely no personal danger, while our courageous soldiers face death every day.
If you believe in the President's escalation of the war, go enlist in the Marines or the Army, or else stop accusing others of being cowards and hypocrites. If you don't, then you are the "cut & run" coward, and the hypocrite.
And in case you should wonder, I myself am a disabled American veteran.

No, I believe in standing up for what you believe. If a so called leader isn't going to stand up I really don't want them.
If they want to lead this country, they have to stand up for this country and not apologise to anybody for the US or for being part of the US.

Well, that question didn't make a lot of sense. I sure wish people would give a little more detail in their questions.
