I got an F, on a homework assignment, we are learning about Genetics, and she told us to draw a picture of Genetic Code Replication, I drew it exactly how it was in out notes!
Aslo she told us to write an essay incluing the words, trait, heredity, genetics, genes, Nucleus, DNA, and Chromosomes, and by mistake I defines all those words, in stead. ANd she gave me an F?!? An F is for someone who didn't work at all, I did it, and I worked hard on it, it was a hole one page, and she gave me an F, don't you think I should have at least gave me a C?!???
ALso, including to that she moved me all they way to the back, I can't even see, and I can't even concentrate, do you think this is fait? My mother called her already, but she didn't answer, shold I talk to the Principal about this?

It doesn't matter, just as long as I tried, some people copied, and got an A, some people wrote one sentence and got an A. I spent a half hour on that and got a n F, I try very hard, and I get an F.
I already asked to move closer, she wont let!

Yeah, my high school algebra teacher gave me an F just because I had punched her out by accident a couple of years before. I was in a fight and she tried to grab me by the hair, my glasses were off so all I saw was blue jeans, a shirt and long hair. I hit her pretty good and then the stupid principle put me in her class for algebra.
Teachers have their own agenda and it has nothing to do with school or education, it has to do with their idea of how they should live their lives.
Go watch the movie Freedom Writers. The system ran that teacher out of the district because she was Jewish and she cared about what the kids learned instead of about her prestige at the school and "punishing" kids who have "no future" like me.
Oh, did I mention I am now an engineer and I often work with NASA on cutting edge technology that is so advanced most people can't understand it?
Don't let the ***** get you down. Finish school and have a good life, then you can think about the losers who treated you like a loser and pity them.

I feel for you, I really do. I'm very sorry. For the essay part, though, you did not follow directions. I guess my feeling is that if at work I'm told to do something and I miss understand the directions and do something else, that's going to get me in trouble.
And if you really did draw the Genetic Code thing exactly as your notes showed, you should definitly point that out to her.
I think life is just unfair and you need to get used to that BUT, BUT BUT, BUT, BUT - that doesn't mean you should just lie down and take it, either.
Certainly, talk to the principal, ask the teacher if you can retake the test or do make up assignments, etc. Just be diplomatic about it, be level headed and reasonable. And if at the end of hte day, you don't get your way, then be mature and gracious about it.
Good Luck to you.

I had a biology teacher in high school, dude was a complete a**. The students nicknamed him no hope Cope. On one occation he refused to look at the results of one assignment and just gave me an automatic F. I've had plenty of moron instructers since him and I know I'll deal with many more in the future. Dealing with morons is a part of life, sad but true. What's in the past is in the past bury it, start thinking about the future, se if you can get transfered to another biology class, it sounds to me like the student teacher relationship has broken down beyond the point of repair. If you can not move to a different bio class just keep in mind you only have to put up with her being a moron for one year. She has to put up with being a moron for the rest of her life. Don't be disrespectful to her and do not be disruptive, just go in, do what work you can and get out.

As a teacher, I'd like to say that you need to talk to the teacher directly. Ask her to explain why she felt you needed an F.
I have given students an F because they did not follow my directions like I had asked and they didnt put their whole heart into it (not that didn't).
Also, you need to let you teacher know you can't concentrate in the back and can't see. Sometime teachers move the 'good' students to the back because they are less likely to play around and they know they can trust you.
If things don't change from this inital meeting, then I'd involve Mom. Set a parent conference of some sort.
Overall, just talk to the teacher. If she is a good one, she'll listen to you and look toward your best interest.

I would have your mom call the principal first and tell her your biology teacher won't answer her phone. If he doesn't do anything after your mom talks to him, then go and see him in person. Or if your mom can't call him, then go and talk to him in person and tell him your problem. It will probably help him take more action if you have an adult with you and supporting you. I hope you have good luck, and try asking for help on your next assignment to make sure you are doing it right.

Well you should of followed her directions but i do not think you deserved a F. It would of helped if we knew what your past grades were in her class. I would talk to the principle. She should not ignore your moms calls that is wrong on her part. Bad teacher award. And as for moving you to the back i would want to know why she did that. She does owe you and explanation.

well i guess it depends on the teacher. sorry you had a bad day. my physics teacher once made me cry because i went to tell him i couldn't understand a problem. im a straight A student and he made me feel like the scum of the Earth, but, with that spelling of course you weren't expecting an A...? I'm only kidding, i know you are really mad and typing super fast and you just need someone to talk to. trust me i TOTALLY know how you feel.
Try talking to her about your sitting in the back and how you misunderstood the assignment. And about the drawing i honestly don't know what to tell you.

Your best bet would be to talk to the teacher. My experience with school administrators is that they are usually not very helpful. If talking to the teacher doesn't work, try talking to the counselor.

Failure to follow directions is failure, not average, which is what a C merits.
I would definitely request a move closer to the front.
