I understand what MESH is but I don't know how to download or make my MESH downloads show on my SIMS2 game.

Question

Please I have WINRAR and know how to extract files into my SIMS2 game, but I don't understand how to download MESH because I tried before and my downloads still didn't show up in the game...is there something I need to do besides just downloading MESH? Please I need help and none of the websites have helped me...not even modthesims2.com!

Hi, I've found that not all downloads, even when I think I've also got the Mesh, work (I've read that sometimes they won't work because they need specific expansion packs in order to work.)

Though the ones I've downloaded from the ModtheSims2 website seem to.

I just downloaded the CEP thing (as per their instructions) & then just selected what object/eyecolour/clothing/etc I wanted. (On the ModTheSims2 site it tells you if you need to download anything else & normally provides links to where you need to go.)

The files download into my downloads directory .... & I extract them using Winrar into the downloads directory. Some of the downloads include the Meshes & they all go into the same place & you extract them into the same place.

ie: My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads

They've got to be in that directory. (Sorry, overkill on which directory)

If the downloaded file is a sims2pack file then you'll need to double click it to install it into the game.

When you run your game you need to make sure that the custom content is turned on. I have Sims 2 & Open For Business plus the patches. A window comes up asking me if I want custom content turned on. However, inside the game, if you go into Game Options, you also turn on the custom content here. The first time you may have to quit after that & then restart the Sims.

I had an similar issue, and that i did an similar aspect, I reinstalled all my sims 2 video games and downloaded more beneficial hairstyles and stuff from the sims 2 internet website, and that i have not had anymore complications so some distance. yet i don't understand what i did that easily fastened it. I almost imagine that per chance I had gotten a nasty acquire and it grow to be messing up the game on my pc. solid success, i understand it might properly be a soreness
