you shouldn't know who you are at 13...But, you should have started to figure out who and what you don't want to become...does that make sense?

You're at the right age to start wondering about those things! You will find the answers soon, sweetie! The main answer you need is to simply be yourself! Be true to who you are and what you believe. Be a leader and not a follower of the crowd just because they are popular at the present time! Popularity is a dime a dozen and not always the best thing. Honesty and kindness are MUCH more valuable characteristics! Smile and treat all others as you would like to be treated.....even the least liked kids at school. Ask the chubby or not most beautiful girl or guy to dance. You may never know what it might mean to their life!

Ahh....13 what a confusing age. I think i can relate the most cuz I'm 17 and still don't know what i am. I'll tell you the truth. It's takes a while. You have to separate yourself from what your parents want you to be, what society wants you to be, and what your friends want you to be. Then it just comes down to somehow combining what you truly are, and what you want to be. Finally accepting that will be the greatest. But for me it has been hard..hopefully not as hard for you. I would say just try and stay true...but u don't know who the true you is so.....stay strong.

Why don't you get involved in some activities at school or church or a local youth group. That way you can figure out what you like to do. Just try out a lot of stuff, and figure out what suits you best. By the way, not many 13 year olds know exactly who they are. I'm a college senior, and a lot of people I know are still figuring it out. Don't worry, enjoy being a kid, and try lots of new things.

Go with what interests you. Don't change to fit in. Just be yourself. Try a few different styles, pick one you like best, you're comfy with. If it's about sexuality, be who you are, no matter what. It is much easier then pretending and getting caught up in all that. Good Luck.

Don't rush or be too worried. It'll come to you. At 13, no one actually know the true self. I don't we'll ever know our true self; we're always learning something about ourselves. Have you ever doubted yourself on something, then realize you can do it? That's what we all do.

When I was 13, I spent a lot of time sitting outside, staring at the stars. For some reason, I found a lot of peace and clarity in being outside, alone with my thoughts. I found that it was important to me to have that time to myself at that age because it gave me the chance to reflect on a lot of things I otherwise would have dismissed.
Great introspection for someone your age. :-)
