Democrat, Republican....regardless isnt the whole thing pointless if we have a democratic government and we all are in favor of the country's welfare.

Once upon a time, way back, people discovered that they had more power and influence if the worked together in groups. Political parties began when folks with similar interests and beliefs about how government should work, banded together to use their combined resources.

If you study U.S. history carefully, you will notice that many parties have come and gone, with many different reasons why.

Freedom to choose what is right is the essential point of having different parties in a political system.
