Absolutely!! They will win the pennant and play the Phillies in the world series. The Yankees win a classic 7 game world series! You heard it here first!!

gotta go with the yankees. I dont care how much everyone hates them, they will probalby always have one of the greates batting lineups in baseball. Arod, sheff, jeter, that's just a few of them to start you off with. Sure they have not won it in a awhile, but if you follow baseball eneough you would know that they yankees like big name people. And each year that the yankees dont win it the owner stien, whatever his name is, gets more anxious to get back to the world series. That is why i think this year they will be a contender. They will go out and spend the big bucks as usual get a solid top notch pitcher. If you ask me thats all that they need. A couple good pitchers and there will be no way anyone will have a chance. If a game is pretty tight and its the bottom of the nine, yanks up 3-2, who will win, the yanks, why, because they have the greatest closer in baseball history. No one can touch his cutter. They have the big bats and probably the best closer in the game, and a couple of solid pitchers, but i think there missing an mvp like starting pitcher. I dont think it will matter if he is young or old because there is enough vetrans in the yankees system to teech him the ropes.

i am a die-hard red sox fan .i hate the yankees and i hope they neva win another championiship eva again.Isnt 26 enough.for the past few years they,ve been spending alot of money and the season turns out 2 b a waist.give it a rest yankee fans.

Personally, it does look as if this might be the year.
I know, as a Tiger fan, that I wouldnt want to face them in the playoffs. They are pissed we kicked their butts in 2006 and will want to get even. They is no greater movitation than revenge.

The pitching will come back and bite them in October,I'm a Yankee fan too,but until they improve their pitching staff it's not gonna happen.

I hope so. They do have a great lineup, solid rotation, a shutout closer. They still have to watch out for the tigers, and the mets will be a great team again.

I don't think so, there is not enough cohesion on the team. They will get knocked out in the divisional round of the playoffs.

I am not to big on their pitching. AWESOME line-up but I am of the school of thought that says good pitching wins over hitting.
