Need Help With The Sims 2 on PC?

What are meshes, where can I get them and why do I need them for some custom content that I download? And where is a good place to custum make my own? Any help will be appreciated greatly! Thanks

But just roughly, meshes are new shapes or forms for Sim clothing or objects ... eg a differently shaped chair would require a different mesh - a mesh is almost like a blank pattern.

ModtheSims2 also gives advice on creating - along with tutorials on how to do it - just click the Create button.

Meshes are like skeletons, its the clothing's life, if you don't have a mesh you don't get the correct clothing. To get them well...first of all don't download from the Sims 2 exchange unless if it tells you where the mesh can be found or if you recognize the mesh and you know where it is or if it says no mesh required, Explore sites for meshes, google stuff, trust me it works. A good place to make your own...firstly, if your a beginner, don't even think about making meshes, stick to recoloring, its much easier, I recommend Adobe Photoshop for all you recoloring needs. I use it, well the trial version.
