my laptop got stolen today. i have been using that toshiba for 2 years and i have and hp pavilion also. i have sent an e-mail to a special department to toshiba with all the information about the laptop. i did not get any reply yet but only a confirmation that the email has been received.

i talked with an online tech and he told me that they can get it from the user's IP add if he provides the serial number.

is there any other way???

one more question
i have an hp pavilion HP dv6110ca and i have 3 to 5 burnt pixels on the screen.is there anything that can correct this???i tried some softwares but they did not change anything.

help

you done the right thing anytime you have a PC stolen report it to the manufacture and local police( as far as the dead pixels get a new screen )change all your passwords in email accounts. and the police can do the rest

Toshiba- It is blunt but there would be no result for stolen. To forget it may reduse ur pain of lose.

Hp.- There is no fix for pixcel. But replacing of screen/lcd can help you. In hp there is on VGA port also. You can attach any CRT monitor too.

With the HP no there is no way to fix the burnt pixels.
