i own a repair shop, and you might want to try tuning it up pretty good ,new spark plugs and wires always help one to run a lot better and a new gas filter, just a good basic tune up may make it do a lot better, most people never bother with tuning one up until it stops running ,and then they remember they haven't tuned it in 3 or 4 years, but it cant hurt it,old spark plugs wont fire good when there real cold, tune it up and it probably will be alright, and while your at it give the battery a good charge also,it never hurts to charge it back up to full capacity, good luck i hope this help,s.
