I think "instrument" in nonmusiical terms such as mayonnaise is used as a tool to put on a sandwich and other related food items. The term instrument, a lot of people commonly think of musical instruments such as a piano, guitar. But there are different meanings of instrument. :O) I think your question is a cute question.:O)
