Same basic idea as the united nations. It was formed after World War I but soon failed because the USA did not join.

The League of Nations was the same as the United Nations. They helped countries out and were allies and everything. Check it out at bartleby.com.

Nothing actually. Woodrow Wilson was one of its founders, but it didn't gain any political support domestically or abroad. It was mostly a sales pitch that came to fruition as The United Nations after World War II.
