On wintery weeks like these, I get stuffy nose. I blow my nose a lot and often, I find dry boogers clumping up in my nostrils. It is during this time that I smell weird scents every moment of the day. What is this weird smell? Why is it happening? It even happens when I blow out and pick out all the boogers.

boogers are caused when something dust, dirt, get trapped in ur nostril. mucus covers the dirt and over time it dries into a booger.

when u clean out ur nose. blow out all your boogers. you clear out a new surface for more dirt and dust to get trapped on, and therefore the cycle will repeat.
also the nose picking will clear out ur surfaces where smell receptors are, so there will be more smells than when it was "stuffed". I don't know about the association with winter, unless something in ur neighborhood happens around that time of the year alot i.e. flowers bloom, too much barbequeing neighbors, etc. etc.
Good luck. hope this helps.

Not to sound too gross, but I had a really nasty sinus infection that made it smell like dog poo in my nose. I ended up having surgery to get rid of it.

I always keep smells after there has been something strong or bad that I have smelled. It takes hours for the smell to go away.
It sould be your sinuses or allergies.

Are you taking any medication? Sometimes that can make things smell.
