How in the world can i get my sim abducted by aliens?

I have the sims 2 for the computer. I have done everything i can think of. I have bought the most expensive telescope and I have my sim look at the stars through it all night. he even has 9 logic skill points, but the aliens never come. what am i doing wrong??

Here's some alien abduction tips:

* Buy and have your sim use a telescope
* Although you can be abducted in any Neighborhood, the chances are increased in Strangetown (or a neighborhood you've made with an alien crash site)
* Lots nearest an alien crash site have an increased likelihood of alien encounters

buy a telescope put it in the backyard and keep using it.
