I'm sorry, you're picture isn't clear enough to determine his color, other then he's not a golden. Can you add a link to his photo somewhere? Can you e-mail it to me? I'm one of the top breeders in the US and have all the color, pattern and fur mutations so you'll be hard pressed to find someone else who can more accurately identify him.

If you can't or don't want to do any of the above, then I suggest you visit the Pet Website:
http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters/syrian_hamsters_colors.htm
Surf through the Syrian hamster colors, agouti, self and combinations of the colors.

I can tell you that you DON'T have a Honey. A Honey is a very orange hamster with red eyes. Pet stores have done an autroucious thing to the hamster fancy by creating "fancy" names to get more money for them. The hamsters the pet stores sell as "honey bears" are actually Black Eyed Creams. It's too hard to tell by the photo is he's a cream, white, ivory or even patterned.

Another thing that you can do is add some more details to your question. What color are his eyes? What color are his ears? If you hold him right-side up, does he have a white stripe under his chin? Does he have white paws? If you part his fur, is it a different color at the roots? All of this information will help me determine what color he is.

Feel free to visit my site listed below. There's many different photos of some colors rarely seen in the pet stores. You should take a look at a male Syrian named Ascot, he's a Black Eyed Cream and a female hamster named Jewel, she's a Dark Eared White.

***Wow, in that photo link you posted (and thanks for doing it) he doesn't look like a Syrian but a Campbells Russian Dwarf. If he is indeed a dwarf hamster, then he is a Black Eyed Argente Campbells Dwarf. He looks like he could be patterned with either the mottled gene or the platinum gene. The photo is a bit unclear to be sure. If you get a chance, please post another- it's okay if he's in his cage. (Sorry, I know it's a pain! I went out and bought a very expensive camera just to be able to take good photos of the hamsters as I used to get so many blurry ones. Then there's the pain of uploading them, editing your question and linking to the photo!)

Here's a great link to AAA hamsters. On it are are the colors that Campbells Russian Dwarves come in:
http://www.geocities.com/aaahamsters/Campbells.html
Just click on the name of any of the colors and another page will open with photos.

******After looking at the photos in your other question, he appears to be a Platinum Black Eyed Argente Campbells Russian Dwarf.

She is a syrian cream-colored hamster and she or he bites on her cage because of the fact her teeth cant provide up growing to be and she or he bites to shorten them down or only possibly she is bored yet you're taking good care of her in the appropriate way achievable by ability of attempt to scrub the cage a million a week if its wiped sparkling to lots she would be in a position to experience uncomfortable yet its continuing exchange

He's a honey colored, long haired(?) Syrian(?) hamster. I may be wrong, cause the picture's a little fuzzy when you enlarge it, but I think I got it right. I had a hamster like that once. He's very cute.
