Peace will only come from within. Don't they/us/everyone realize that.
Even the USA Civil War ended by both sides stepping up to the plate and doing what was best for the Country, and being civilized and stopping the madness.
Or, is the Religion/Theology/Zealots of the Area That Hell Bent on Hatred/Revenge/Dogma to want to live like that? I don't get it.

I guess the dilemna is, were times/etc that different in relative perspective for the other peaceful leaders, or, is the only solution to bomb the whole place back to the stone age?
Wait, it seems to already be in the stone age....what is going to change it.
I guess that is what a QUAGMIRE Is.

Last point, doesn't it get tiring to harbor that much "hate". I mean, I hate things, but it must get to a point where you say, "humans just aren't supposed to live like this, i don't care what some book written almost 2000 years ago say, screw JIHAD, let's get a Pint and watch some football".

Both Gandhi and Mandela were political men and certainly went about with their political agendas peacefully, but in all reality they created a very un-peaceful result.
In India the civil strife and blood shed is not to be over looked as the result of Gandhi's position and bringing about the equality of the Indian peoples.
The same can be said for Mandela, matter of fact even S. Africa today is still feeling the shock waves of the his peaceful stance.
Even though these, "peace-men" where themselves peaceful in their own behavior, their cause resulted in very opposite results for those that followed and "fought physically" (un-peacefully) to change the course of history.
It appears that as long as there are two humans with two conflicting beliefs, theory, and ideals, there will be waring against one another to force the other to their way.

Lol, imagine you are an Iraqi, living under Saddam's dictatorship, you have NOT asked the west for help, when you are bombed in the name of peace, and you lose your friends and family in the aftermath.
Your country is then invaded by Westerners looking for weapons of mass destruction, and when they do not find any, they decide to form a democratic society for you, and divide the country into two factions, Sunny and shite!
Now you have Americans shooting and bombing you from one side, and factions shooting and bombing you from the other!
HOW CAN THERE BE PEACE?

In many Muslim countries, people are taught that you love your religion, country, and believes no matter what..and that is where they are wrong..many Muslim countries are very backward, with no proper education...what they are learning is from an unlearned person so they are not intellectual enough to think properly..they are full of negetive thoughts..whenever anything bad happens, they relate it with themselves, without even giving a thought that their negetive thought is not going to do any good to others as well as to themselves. they have been taught anger and hatred and that is what they are spreading..Gandhi spread peace becasue he was peaceful soul.

I'm certain that there are--but they are probably being kept quiet--if not imprisoned, or worse, for treason.
