Ebay is always a good sorce for parts. Local junk yard. Online junk yards are a good idea as well...Have you given any thought to am aftermarket custom tank that will fit in place of yours add some cool paint and you might be happier than you would be with a stock tank.

Pick up a copy of Walneck's Classic Cycle Trader magazine, in which you'll find many boneyards listed, usually with 800 numbers so you can call for free. Start calling and see what you can come up with. I believe you can also access Walneck's on line.

look on ebay...or see if there is a Yahoo group for your specific motorcycle or type (ie...old Japanese bikes)...I used to belong to a Radian group, perhaps there's one for the GS as well. Good luck!!
Also try motorcycle parts warehouses like the ones advertised in Motorcyclist magazine's classified ads. Most have old models and parts. Good luck.

I had the same thought as Robert.Check out jpcycles.com or jirehcycles.com for a custom tank.It might take a little modification but you could come up with a custom look.Maybe replace a fender or two along with it and have a really custom look.Good luck

I'll do it again.
My local guy. mcsalvage.com.
Website is poor, people and parts are good.
3rd floor is seats and gas tanks.
The Honda Dream mailbox was already a long-standing landmark when I first saw it back in '70.
