I keep thinking Dan Hinote, but I don't think that's him. This has been bothering me for days...

Hinote is correct. He did attend, but not graduate.I believe at one time he said he wanted to work for the FBI if not the NHL.

Dan Hinote *attended* West Point, but only for a year before he decided "he had a future shooting pucks, not bullets." He did not graudate.
