I know I just asked a question about what I might have, but if I do have this infection, should I see a doctor as soon as possible, or try juice for a while and see if things work out? Thanks!

SEE A DOCTOR NOW!
DON'T DELAY!

An untreated bladder infection can quickly turn-into a kidney infection. Kidney infections could not only damage the kidneys, but can turn-into sepsis (blood poisoning). Once the infection is in your blood, it can be fatal.

A dear friend's mother DIED in November from "just a bladder infection" because she kept putting off going to the doctor. By the time she was admitted to the hospital, the infection was throughout her body via the bloodstream.

Obviously, you need to see a doctor. Cranberry juice is NOT going to cure it. You need medication. Cranberry juice will only help somewhat. You don't even know what you have. It might not be a UTI. It could be a bladder infection. You have to see a doctor.

Once you get a urinary infection, it's easier to get them again. It's best to get some antibiotics. Sometimes it won't go away without them. Drinking cranberry juice is best as a precautionary measure. I got a really bad UT infection. So bad infact that my kidneys started to swell. It was horrible. Ever since then, I have gotten them again. But I keep some antibiotics close by to beat it.

Unless you want to risk killing your kidneys, SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

A kidney infection is just that, an infection. Cranberry juice will help with the symptoms, but it can't cure an infection.

UTI's can be caused by bacteria that thrive on Alkaline pH, or bacteria that thrive on Acidic pH. Cranberry juice is very acidic and will therefore work on UTI's caused by the Alkaline thriving bacteria. However if used on the Acidic thriving bacteria, it may actually make things worse. The safest thing to do would be to have a Urinalysis done.

Go to the dr like now! 2 days max for trying to kill it with cranberry juice. Longer than that it will spread to your kidneys and believe me, the pain is excrutiating.

UTI's can get serious fast. My BF tried to self treat and ended up in the hospital. A doctor can give you medicine and fix you up right away.

Go to the doctor. I ended up being hospitalized for one once because I waited too long to get it looked at.

See a doctor. That way they can exactly pin point the problem. Never self diagnose yourself.
