Lets see...troops on the ground in Iraq. I think they have all of the relevant facts. They have more facts than you, Bush, H. Clinton N. Pelosi, B. O'reilly, Hannity & Combs, etc. They are seeing it FIRST HAND. What facts would you like to present to them? I think they have them all.
However, if you idea of sharing "facts" is in fact sharing your opinion that Bush is an Idiot, Cheney is making millions, this war is for Oil, the war is Illegal, there were no WMD, 9-11 was an inside job, etc. Those are not "facts" relevant to GI's who are busy keeping themselves from becoming preferated, mutilated, shot, blown up, expolded, damaged, folded, bent, cracked, bloodied de-limbed, and otherwise injured. There are some important facts they do need, for instance: Where is the bad guy, what weapons are they using, how many are there, when were they last seen, what were they driving, what were they doing...If you have some facts like that, I am sure they would appreciate them.

I dropped out of high school at 17 to join the Marine Corps during the vietnam war. I agree that they should be treated as adults, not withstanding the fact that my decision probably wasn't that wise or informed to begin with.
An officer has gone to college and should have found out some facts there before joining.
A young enlisted man amy not have the experience or maturity necessary to make any decisions regarding global conflicts.
What little time they have for training it's probably better spent on weapons training and survival skills than on economics and political theory.

In this day and age, it is going to be difficult to keep the news from the troops, but they try using Fox, Armed Forces network and the "Army Times", all full of BS! They omit, Lie, and screen all information going to the troops!
Bet they didn't tell the troops that Bush was cutting the Veterans Hospitals for the 2nd time, the last in 2006 for 100 Billion, while his budget contains tax cuts for the wealthy! I would love to hear a Republican explain that one!
Sure wish I had a buck for every time they told me we were winning the war in Vietnam!
They don't even give the citizens the facts. I suspect the recent attacks in Iran were all staged by the CIA, EXACTLY the same thing they did when they threw an elected government out and replaced it with pro-US Oil Shaw of Iran!

Its the government, no question approximately it. over the final decade or so the army's investment has been shrink to one / 4 or possibly much less. This has meant that the army and positively the army and air stress an extreme volume of less to paintings with. the army has had to borrow equipment from everywhere or pay for it in my view themselves, under staffed, much less psychological help (next to none in actuality). Its is straightforward wisdom that the British military has and that i dare say continually would be ill equipped. the version right it incredibly is that the government refuses to offer the troops the bare minimum and now with the recession is making an attempt to do issues at the cheap, as a result why they are additionally betraying our stance on terrorism and calling for talks with the Taliban aka mass murderers and terrorisers even of their own human beings. This government could be thrown in reformatory for gross misconduct, corruption, incompetence and each little thing else they are to blame of. deliver lower back Blair too and lock him away!

Well I will tell you what is 'not' supporting the troops. When you find that after asking troops, that they believe in what they are doing, and you denounce what they are doing, you are not supporting the troops.

I was a troop, and I would have liked that. But you still have to obey. So I think it is more important that the President get his facts strait.

No.
What "facts" do you think they are lacking? Soldiers are men under orders, and do not possess the right to think for themselves, and then decide to follow directions other than the orders they've received from their superior officers, based on some independent "facts" forwarded to them from some other source. So, what "facts" are you intending to give them? And what do you think they can do with those "facts," anyway??
