Man accused of attacking Eli Wiesel belonged to an anti-Zionist Website run by progressives.

As one who believes in socialized medicine, state-subsidized housing, caps on the acquisition of vast amounts of wealth and private property, a liveable wage, as well as other things that are considered to far to the left, I have to ask whether or not anyone can call himself "antiwar" and socially progressive while, at the same time, dragging an elderly man from a hotel elevator, like a piece of meat, with SS-like brutality? Is this emblematic of a "peace" movement that's here to stay? Is it okay to treat a Jew like this, and then condemn U.S. treatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay?

Longhaired Freaky,I've seen how aggresive leftists can get at an anti-Israel protest. Please stop denying reality.

I've been to many rallys and peace marches, none of them have ever been any semitic, nor are the leftists aggressive. Many of the people I march with are Jewish. I think you are spreading rumors or you don't know what you are talking about. BTW, I don't know of any progressive being anti-semitic. Progressives question the policies of Israel, but that IS NOT anti-semitic. And, I know of no progressive who says the Holocaust didn't happen. If this person, Eric Hunt (?) claims he was a progressive and denies the Holocaust, then he is lying about his political position. No progressive would ever deny the Holocaust.

Maybe you should rephrase the question "Did a progressive attack Eli Wiesel the other day?"
I don't advocate for the use of violence against anyone. I don't like Zionists who back the expansionist plan that uses Israeli tax dollars to eliminate the contested occupied territories, but I haven't attacked anyone ever.

That person is a right-winger, a holocaust denier, not a progressive.

And the blog writer is being disingenuous, we DO know the attacker was not from San Francisco and is a right-wing Nazi.

It is just another cheap shot to Leftists who courageously stand up to Zionism and its propagandists in America.

EDIT: If you have evidence of anti-Semitic violence at any anti-war rally in this country, please share it. Otherwise, I'll have to call you on it and say you don't know what you are talking about.

Yes. Most of the antisemitism today comes from self proclaimed "progressives" & "liberals". They are among the most intollerant people on Earth.

I thought many of the progressives are Jewish!

...no but seriously, Jewish people tend to lean towards the left politically.
