That's a tough question... I like them both very much but for very different reasons, as they are so varied in thier music. James Brown rocked me with "Please, please, please, please" and "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" but Smokey's "Being With You" is a love song second to none.. I wouldn't want to be without either. Sorry!

Smokey Robinson takes the top of the list. Like James Brown but Smokey's voice and music was my favorite

James Brown, but their styles are very different from each other that I don't think that this is a fair comparison.

No comparison. Their music was totally different. But for smooth crooning, it's Smokey. For getting up and getting "down, down, down, down, down", its James.
