Is that all it says about the terms? Many leases go on to require 45 to 90 days notice, but not all.

Barring that, my advice is to put your notice tomorrow and ask for thirty days from then. But expect them to say you will have to stay until March 27. Google "Renters Rights" and your city name and see what free resources you can find locally. Some city ordinances will override terms in a lease and give you more options.

Good luck!!

You must give a 30 day notice, but more is fine. So it is to late to move on Feb 27th but you can move any time before Mar 27th. You must pay for March unless you make other arrangements with the owner.

On a month to month lease you are required to give 30 days notice. It will automatically renew on Feb 27. If you're in a really hot real estate market the landlord may allow you to move out sooner, however you may sacrifice your deposit.

you owe 30 days...
the landlord may allow you out sooner

or simply leave..........(you could be sued for the 30 days)
if previous tenant was "shady" and you have "shady/scarey people" coming by........keep your documents for a counter suit.
i would want out a.s.a.p
but if landlord knows this..he may give you a break if you talk to them..
"shady neighborhood" as well..high crime rate.. etc..police always around..
