I've tried proactive it doesn't work I was very disappointed I was
let down on the product. Saddened. Theres a new acne product out that peope are claiming works better then proactive called acnecomplex or something similiar I'm thinking of trying it. Theres no celebrity endorsments just real people with bad acne cases with beautiful turn arounds. I was skeptical to try proactive because I never saw anyone with severe acne on their infomercials just a few bumps here and there in the before pictures it got me thinking..hmm? Will this fail me like all the others? Yes, it did. Almost everyone in the acnecomplex infomercials have the severe cases. And it handles supposely all the other skin problems you get on the face that people associate with acne. And it helps you STAY CLEAR people are on the show who have had acne problems for 25 years, and after using acnecomplex have been pimple clean for years. I'm impressed, and call me gullible or what now but I'm thinking of trying this one out. It doesn't use benzol or whatever it is. Which irritates the skin sometimes causing more breakouts. You should atleast look it up. =) I plan on saving up some money to test it out.

One of the better acne treatments on the market today is ProActiv. ProActiv seems to be helping many people who could not find other solutions that worked. It has been featured on infomercials, news stories, magazine articles, and newspaper articles. Proactiv is a system that includes a renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner, and repairing lotion. Prescription grade benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in ProActiv. ProActiv does not require a prescription.

A treatment that is available by prescription is Accutane. Accutane is a very strong medication, that is only suitable for those who suffer from severe and persistent acne. The medication is taken internally, and there are possible side effects, including birth defects, dry and cracked lips, and liver dysfunction.

Another one of that is used topically is retin-a. Many people have had great success with retin-a, which is used to treat acne, acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, skin discoloration, and a variety of other skin afflictions. Retin-a is available by prescription, but some over the counter medications contain retin-a.

Not all treatments come in the form of chemicals. Certain essential oils are also beneficial in the treatment of acne. These essential oils can be applied topically for the treatment of mild to moderate acne. The best essential oils for acne treatment are: Tea Tree Oil, Bergamot Oil, Clove Oil, Lavender Oil, and Rosewood Oil. If the essential oil needs to be diluted, mix it with Grapeseed Oil for best results.

In order to find the best acne treatment for you, start with essential oils. If that doesn't work, go to the next step by trying ProActive. If ProActive doesn't work, then try a prescription alternative. You may also consider being tested for food allergies, as certain allergies can cause acne. In this case, the only treatment you need is to eliminate those certain foods from your diet

Proactiv is the best. There is a generic brand that works exactly the same - I think it's called Acne Free (it's white and orange package). You can get a month's supply at WalMart for about $18.

buy witch hazel and antibacterial ointment, clean each pimple with one cotton ball and throw it away after each one. Then put a dab of ointment on each one with a q-tip, a new one for each pimple. Bacteria spreads the acne. Always wash hands with hot soapy water really well before and after touching your face. Then change pillow case every night, turn over and use 2 nights to keep it from spreading. Never rub your face to wash or dry it, pat it dry. You can also soak a washcloth in very warm salt, soda water and squeeze it out and lay it on your face, pat it down and lie down for a while to allow it to draw out the impurities. In the AM do the witch hazel thing again but not the ointment. That night splash cold water on your face repeatedly and cool it down and close the pores. then do the same thing each night using the ointment at night. If it gets better in 2 wks. slow down on the ointment but keep up the witch hazel as long as needed. If it doesn't get better, see a DR. Good luck.

My advice...Stop the breakouts and use something that is actually good for your skin. I have been using Nu Skin Clear Action® and it doesn't compare to any other. My skin chemistry changes all of the time and I still never have a problem.

Here's the site check it out. They also have foundations that complement your skin.
